Vismayam Celebrated the biggest and the most important festival Onam in the collge Campus
Our team took a peek at this glorious festival by partaking in the fun and gaiety program organized by the young girls and boys of Vismayam last Saturday. The vacant area adjoining the College building formed the perfect venue for games and revelry connected with the festival. Much earlier, a flower carpet laying competition kicked off the multi activity laden day to a thumping start.
You could hear the steady rhythmic beat of the 'melam' sounding in the background most of the day. A gang of four, attired in tiger skin clothes, had the privilege of leading a procession of students around the Mananchira square and back. All the participants, later, sat down to indulge in a sumptuous Onam Sadya at the same venue.
The pictures taken and forwarded would indicate the spirit, glory and passion invested in one of the most colorfully celebrated festivals of South India.
